Hello Everyone! Welcome to YinTangDance.com!

This is a site dedicated to spreading Chinese Cultural Education and Awareness through various arts, especially dance!
No doubt you have caught a show with one of our featured dance troupes and are curious to learn more about what we do. This is simple. First off, Yin Tang is not a strange mystical Chinese secret dance form. Yin Tang is a person. Whos is she? She was probably the person introducing each of the dances on stage before they go on. What does she do? She works with local talent coordinating shows with dance and music along with other special events. Here, she would like to extend her thanks to the many supporting troupes and sponsors who help her put on one heck of a show!

What I do:

Yes, my name is Yin Tang. I have been dancing and performing around the greater Cleveland Area for about fifteen years now. My primary focus is Chinese Cultural Dance, which I learned from my mother. My mother was a dancer in China (as well as my father, but he wasn't that serious about it!), so as you can see, dance runs deep in my blood.

History

When I was fourteen, I began teaching Chinese Dance as a substitute teacher at the Cleveland Contemporary Chinese Culture Association. Soon after, I was asked to teach at the Chinese Culture Club off of South Green Road in Mayfield. Later, I was asked to teach with the "Families with Adopted Children from China" located in Akron. Currently, I still teach at the CCCCA (Cleveland Contemporary Chinese Culture Association), UrbanArtz (with Desiree Parkman), and The Chinese Academy of Cleveland (CAC).

Thank You

Now you figure with all of these kids around, we are bound to have some girls gung ho about dance. They love dancing so much, we threw together some performances. With great help from Lisa Zheng and Hua Liang Lee, we were able to coordinate functions and provide costumes for all of these girls.

Yes, this website might be under my name. But truthfully, it is an overstatement. Everything the girls have helped me to achieve in producing these dances would not be possible without the love and support of their families as well. With that, I would like to extend a thanks to all those who have supported what we do. A special thanks goes out to all of those who have ever cheered us on as the audience. Thank you!
